"If there is a promoter willing to put up a £15,000 purse for a fight between, Jack Doyle and my- self, I would jump right over the Albert Hall to get it," says British heavy-weight champion. Tommy
Farr.
Farr added in an emphatic tonę, "It would give me the greatest of pleasure to fight Doyle."
Farr made these remarks when told about the story of a syndicate of sportsmen who are said to be prepared to offer £15,000 for a British title match with Doyle.
Segreta que Vinothing"
of it and no one had approached him on the subject.
POPULARITY CAMPAIGN
In any event, his plans for the the immediate future are settled. He is to meet Braddock in New York on Jan. 21, and Bob Paator, In the Orange Park Bowl, Miumi, on Feb. 26,
These "contests have been ar= </ ranged with the object of giving Farr a chance to further his popularity in America, so that by the time he next fights for the heavyweight championship of the world he will be a greater drawing card than when he opposed Joe Louis last August.
Farr is
under contract which contains a fortelt clause of 15,000 dollars to meet the winner of the Louis-Max Schmeling fight on Sept. 19 next year.
LOUIS vs. SCHMELING Incidentally the clash between the world champion and the Ger- man is not certain to be staged in. June, as at present arranged.
People in close touch with Mike Jacobs say that unexpected difficul- ties have arisen, which may, pre- vent a meeting of the men.
Whatever happens, it is not kely to trouble Farr, who is al- ready in strict training at Hammersmith Stadium.

GREAT INDIVIDUAL DISPLAY
Karakas' Heroic Ice Hockey Fails To Stem Attack
Boston, Dec. 21.
Despite herole attempts by Mike
Karakas to stem the tide of defeat. AN ITALIAN THREAT
the Chicago Black Hawks had to admit defeat to-night before the flying skates and flashing sticka of the Boston Bruins by two goals to one in the American Division of the National Ice Hockey League..
Mike Karakas, one of the six American-born players of the Hawks, again played the role of hero in blocking hockey pucks but he was given a minimum of sup- port.
The lean, hollow-eyed Croatian, who divides his waking moments between playing goalie for the Black Hawks and operating a bil- Liard emporium in Eveleth, Min- nesota, gave a rare exhibition of checking shots from all angles.
He was "hot" to-night, and he wrecked the majority of the Bear power plays but he could not atave off defeat single-handedly.
Although beaten, the Hawks con- tributed more than their share to a fast-skating, cleanly contested battle. It was a good stickhandling contest from first to last. but the Hawks failed to support the mighty efforts of Karakas.
WOMAN BREAKS
BAGUIO RECORD
Women golfers in Bagulo turned in some stellar performances at Baguio during Army-Navy women's competitions. Mrs. T. E. Chambers, wife of T. E Chambers of the USB. Canopus, smashed the course record for women on two different occasions. On December 14. she went around in 70 and on the 'fol- lowing day she turned in, a great 68.
The previous course record was held by Mr. Vargas, whose hus- band is on the U8.6. Augusta, fagship of the Asiatic Fleet, and Mrs. Boyer of Corregidor.
TO BARNEY ROSS.
Champion Of Italy Scores K.O. In U.S. Debut
Newark, New Jersey, Dec. 21. A new contender for Barney Ross' welterweight championship, Kid Frattin, champion of Italy, made an impressive American de- but to-night by knocking out Lorenzo Louist in the third of an eight-round bout.
The fight
muscular. Italian thrilled scribes with hls flashy display. Weighing one pound over the welter limit, 148, the visitor tore into the Chicago boxer, who tipped the scales at 144, from the "opening gong.
Meeting the furious assault with a two-fisted counter-attack, the Chicago boy checked his foe but failed to stand up to the continuous barrages.
RELENTLESS ATTACK
Kid Frattin let loose again, be- fore the end of the first round and shook his rival, much to the delight of the large gathering of Italian-Americans. He followed up In the second frame and hurt the Chicago lad with stinging rights and a ripping left Jab that found its mark time and again. The Chicagoan came out weakly for the third and, as the Italian Invader opened up again with a double- handed onslaught, he slipped to the canvas and was counted out,
The Italian visitor, who has come here following many notable wins in Europe, declared that he was determined to tangle with Barney Ross for the world title.
