Silver prices rosë 1/8 yesterday for both deliveries, the quotations being 18 5/8 for Ready and 18 5/18 for Forward, Sliver advices reported speculators as having operated both ways. There was some bear covering. American Trade bought. After the official fixing there were buyers at 1/18 and 1/8 over the' fixed rate. 'Sel- lers were reserved. The market was steady. American Silver was quoted at 44 3/4 for Spot.
