The
Paris, Nov. 23. Inter-Colonial Service re- port, in which it is allegedly stated that the French Govern- ment is prepared to examine the possibility of opening German credits to French colonial public bodies with a view to file purchase of material from Germany to be. repaid in the form of annuities in colonial products, is discounted by a high ficial of the Ministry for Colonies.
"He said there was no official plan to encourage German trade in the colonies. The communique Issued by the Inter-Colonial Ser vice was not officially approved by the Ministry for the Colonies, and the 'broposal mentioned therein was merely an old suggestion for encouraging barter between Ger- many and the French colonies. It was incorrect to say there was any question of Germany grant- ing financial credits to publie bodles in the French colonies. though there might be paper credits to pay for ultimately in goods.
