RETURN OF THE GLORIOUS The aircraft-carrier Glorious. Captain B. A, Fraser, O.B.E., A.D.C.. returned to Devonport on Nov. 3. from the Mediterranean, and will probably recommission in January for further service on that station. Her present crew joined on July 23. 1935.

SEVERN DIVISION, R.N.V.R. Captain E G. C. Cavendish, Q.B.E., A.D.C., who has commanded the Severn Division of the R.N. Volunteer Reserve since 1830, has been placed on the retired list at his own request, and is succeeded by Commander H. G. L. Harvey, R.N., retired, who has been granted a commission as captain. R.N.V.R.. from October 31.

Captain Harvey is already well known, to the Severn Division, in which he W33 officer-instructor from 1929 to 1932.

CADETS' TRAINING CRUISE H.M.S. Vindictive, Captain E. J. Spooner, D.S.O.. cadet training cruiser, concluded her visit to Phaleron Bay and Athens on Nov. The programme for the rest of her cruise is:-Famagusta, Cyprus, November 5-9; Crete, November 11-18: Aranci Bay. Sardinia, Nov ember 19-21; Gibraltar, November 24-December 1: and Chatham, December 6.
