There is being built on Mersey- side at present, in the shipyard of of Messrs Cammell, Laird, and Co.. Birkenhead, a liner which will be the biggest ever constructed in England, states the "Manchester Guardian." Known at present as No. 1.029. her keelplate has been laid down on No. 6 slipway, where the Cupard liner Samaria, the 'battleship Rodney, and the air- craft-carrier Ark Royal were built.
