THE TENTH EXTRA RÄCE MEETING WAS FEATURED BY SOME VERY GOOD RACING AND ONCE AGAIN THE CLOSE FINISHES SPOKE VOLUMES FOR THE EXCELLENT WAY IN WHICH THE HANDICAPPER HAD DONE HIS WORK.

THE CROWD WAS BIGGER THAN THAT WHICH ATTENDED THE PREVIOUS MEETING AND AS A RESULT THE CASH SWEEPS WERE VERY WELL SUPPORTED, THE SWEEP ON THE LAST RACE (TICKETS AT TWO DOLLARS EACH) PAYING $3,563.00.

FIRST LEG OF THE POTENTATE AND KING'S CORONATION DEAD-HEATED IN THE DAILY DOUBLE WHILE VIRA WON THE SECOND LEG. THE POTENTATE-VIRA COMBINATION PAID $22.20 AND THE KING'S CORONATION-VIRA BET KETURNED $34.40. MR. S. C. LIANG WAS THE SUCCESSFUL JOCKEY OF THE DAY, SCORING TWO WINS.

The afternoon's racing opened with a surprise win for Australian Boy (Mr.

B L Tao) who was followed by Saucy Face (Mr. H. C. Pih) and Llanarmon (Mr. W. H. S. Davis), and with the favourite Racing Heart (Mr. B. A. Proulx) and second favourite Bag Tor (Mr. F. Marshall out of the race, the win first pony paid $16.20 for a while Llanarmon returned its backers $35.70 for a place bet!

Saucy Face set the pace for the race but it only could keep this up t the home stretch when it was overtaken by Australian Boy who was well-ridden by Mr. Tao. Nearing the finish Saucy Face had to fight bard to stave of Llanarmon who was third, only a short head behind."

The Kowloon Indians Terinis Club 'won the final of the' Civillan Section of the Hong Kong Hockey Association Inter-Section Knock- out Tournament at King's Park yesterday morning when they de- feated the Police by two goals to one on the Club Ground.
