By Odd Goal In 3 Rose-Queen

A team composed of the men- bers of the European Press met the Hong Kong Electric in a friendly soccer match on the South China Athletle Association ground yester- day, the result being a win of two goals to one for the former.

With a comparatively stronger line of attack, the HK. Electric pounded the Pressmen's defence with consistency, and hardly be- fore the players had the oppor- tunity to warm up, scored a well- placed goal.

Less than five minutes later. however, the Pressmen gained con- trol. and in an active rush sent à forceful shot in the direction of the Electric's goal. The latter's in custodian dropped the ball hesitation and A. G...Quark ("S.C. Morning Post") scored.

Owing to the early collapse of R. Goldman, Stanley Lee kindly Joined the side of the press, and considerably strengthened the line of attack. A straight, send-in by Burnett ("China Mall") G. C. secured the winning point.
