RAILWAY NOT BOMBED
Rumours Denied
The story published in the Hong Kong daily newspapers that the Japanese had bombed and dam- aged the loop line of the Canton-- Kowloon Railway is totale untrue. according to Major Walker, Gener- al Manager of the Raliway in Hong Kong.
"You can tell 'your readers that everything is absolutely normal on the Rallway. It was never bombed by Japanese or by anybody else and all the usual trains are run- ning as before," said Major Walker, when interviewed by a. "Daily Press" reporter yesterday after-
noon.
"The Daily Press" understands from another source that bombs were dropped in and around the well-known Chinese aerodrome and flying training school a few miles of Canton and in the vicinity of which the Canton- Kowloon Railway runs. The aero- drome was no doubt the Japanese objective and not the railway" at
