SHANGHAI PAPER AGAINST» CABARETS DURING WAR Shanghai, Oct. 9: The news- paper Min Pao has started novelty campaign to discourage Chinese from going to cabarets and dance halls during the present war against Japan.

Although no official action can be taken by the paper to prohibit pleasure-seekers from frequenting

cabarcts, the editors believe that by giving wide publicity to such persons it may help to keep the cabarets empty.

In a recent issue, the Min Pao published a list of the license numbers with the names of the owners of private motor cars park. ed in front of a well-known cabaret.- Central Newe.
