After a commission as tor- pedo officer of the Wallace and 5th Destroyer Flotilla he served from 1931 to 1932 at the Chemical De- tence Experimental Station, Porton. and later in the Vernon, torpedo school. He was fleet torpedo on- cer in the West Indies in H.M.S. Norfolk in 1932-35.

Coldstream Guards at Aldershot. and has been G.S.O. for weapon training at London District Headquarters, and Brigade Major of the Brigade of Guards from 1933 to 1936. He was men- tioned in dispatches for service in France."

NO. 48 SQUADRON; No. 48 (General Reconnaissance) squadron will be transferred with effect from November 1 from the Training Command to the Coastal .Command and placed on No. 16 (Reconnaissance) Group. Lee-on- the-Solent.

FIGHTER COMMAND Digby Station, which has been vacated by No. 3.Flying Training School on its transfer to Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, came. under the Fighter Command on Sept. 13, and will in future be the home of fighter units.
