COMMANDER G. 1. BROWN Lieutenant-Commander G. 13. Brown, who retired on Sept. 10. with the rank of commander, was promoted to a commission as mate, F.N. in June. 1917, and served as such in the monitor Erebus in the Dover Patzel. A lieutenant- commander since 1928 he has served in H.M.S. Nelson, executive officer of the sloop Clematis in the Red Sea, and In command of the trawlers James Ludford and Basset in the 1st Anti-Submarine Flotilla.
