After a conference between Pre- sident Roosevelt and 'Admiral Leahy, Chiet of Naval Operations; officials declared that the United States werc relying on existing naval vessels in the Far East to evacuate Americans who are still in the danger zones, and that there was no need for additional vessels. According to officials, the Presi- dent and Admiral Leahy went over the whole problem of the Sino- Japanese situation.
