below) adding parsley and carrotts to dry mixture: use water instead of milk. Roll out inch thick. Cut into 2-inch squares., Place en top of mixture in baking dish. Bake in hot oven about 15 min- utes. Serves 8.

2 cups flour.
4 teaspoons Royal Baking Pow-
der
teaspoon salt.
4 tablespoons shortening
1 cup milk or water
Sift together flour, baking pow- der and salt Add shortening and mix in thoroughly with fork. Add Equid to make soft dough. Turn out on floured, board and lightly until outside looks smooth. Proceed as directed above.

Cream shortening: add slowly, beating in well: Add egg yolks and beat until light and ercamy: add flavouring. Sift to- gether flour, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk to first mixture. Bake in greased square or loaf pan in moderate oven for thirty minutes.

Few drops worcestershire sauce Soak gelatine in, cold. water. Melt buter, add flour and stir"un- Mi smoth. Add milk and season. ings and cook on low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add dissolved gelatine, remove from heat and cool. Then fold in the ham, green pepper and cream which has been beaten stiff. Pour into a ring mold and place in the refrigerator to chill. Remove from mold and garnish with radish ruses.

3 slices bacon
1 pounds beef

12 small onions

Cut the liver and bacon in small pièces and place in a covered nan. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and bring to a boil. Turn heat very low, cover and cook two hours.
