STRONG PROTEST TO LEAGUE
Iraq And Palestine Partition
Geneva, Aug. 4. The Iraq Government has ad- dressed a strong protest to the League of Nations with regard to the Royal Commission's proposals for the partitioning of Palestine.
Iraq declares that such a scheme would be an injustice to the people' of Falestine which could not be viewed without the gravest alarm. The proposal, it is argued, is not compatible with the integral inde- pendence of the country. It holds no hope of a permanent settle- ment. Such a hope depends upon recognition of the integral in dependence of Palestine, in which the Jews must finally accept the position of a minority.

The papers Diario Vasco" and the Voca de Espana" say that the world would be relieved from im- minent danger by an Anglo- Italian co-operation. Such a block would be the best guarantee for world peace, and the only thing to deplore was the tardiness shown at arriving at this insight,
