PHILIPPINE MINING

NEWS

Work during the month of June at the property of the Batong-Bu- hay Gold Mines, Inc. continued to be extremely favourable, according to the report of Earle W. Berry. general superintendent, released By the Mantla office of the Arm.

an

total advance for The

the month of June, all headings, was 460,9 feet. Total footage to July 1. all workings, was 2,504 feet, repre- senting a total volume of 87,640' cubic feet of rock removed or about 7.303 tons.

Considerable ore of milling value is accumulating in storage near the portals of tunnels B. G, and H. High grade ore is being stored in boxes, and samples of this ore run from P332.50 to P4.039 a ton the report states. Many of the essays given on the high grade ran over the P1000 mark, with several even higher.

Exploration and development work to date is proving the vein structure, according to Mr. Berry, $281 and while values are not evenly disseminated throughout the ora $13.15 body, running from a few hun-.

dredths of

to believably high values and back to org. of milling grade within a few $11.40 feet, it is believed that a sufficient number of veins will be developed to warrant the installation of a mill eventually. Mr. Berry stated that it is believed that it will be possible to make a small ship-run from 25.60 to P1.611.40, many ment of high grade ore-within the relatively near future.

EFFECT ON DEVELOPMENT OF MALAYA
