ROYALTY AT
WHITE AND SILVER FOR
THE TATTOO SCOTTISH ROYAL COURTS
(Continued from Page 1) 14
There was a thrilling moment" when the fast audience joined in singing the National Anthem and then cheered and cheered again as the King stood smiling at the salute with the Queen at his side. The King wore the scarlet mess dress uniform of a Field Marshal. The Queen was in an afternoon gown of her favourite shade of blue, with a small hat of the same colour. The King put on a grey great-coat to. protect
himself against the cold night air, and the Queen pulled a fur wrap around her shoulders as she watched the magnificent colourful spectacle.
Omcial figures show that the total attendance at this year's Tattoo has broken all records: 621,500 have seen the show, an in- crease of 135,000 on the previous highest, which was reached last year.
Altogether, 68,275 vehicles passed through the car parks during this year's performance.
