Re- presentatives of this body when passing through the Colony on their way to the Eucharistic Con- gress, recently held in the Philip- plne Islands, communicated with the officials of the local associa tion, and tentative arrangements were made, subject to final ap proval in Tokyo on the one hand, and the Government of Hong Kong. here...

The Hon. Mr. W.J. The present headquarters of the conference body is at Tokyo, where the Japan Tourist Industry, a branch of the, Japanese Raliway Administration who also control the Japan Tourist Bureau, attends to and circulates "all correspon- dence. Mr. Makoto Den, son of Baron Den, is the head of the or- ganisation, and a strong delegation from Japan is expected to visit | the Colony.

An attractive poster in bright colours, depicting the advance of sclence, (aeroplane, automobile, etc) and yet suggestive of the East, (China, Japan) by figures in their national garb, and India, (with an elephant) has been de- signed in a compact and distinct lay-out. These posters, which are being issued by the-B.TI. Japan, will be prominently displayed in

the countries and porta interested. Tentative plans for the enter- tainment of the visitors are being

arranged, and since the conference, which is expected to last fully ten days, falls during Armistice Day. November 11, when the conference will adjourn, it is not unlikely that several of the visiting representa- tives will attend the ceremony at the Cenotaph.
