After the off- cial fixing India sold and Ameri- can trade bought. American Sil- ver was quoted at 44 3/4 for Spot. The London/New York cross- rate was quoted at 493.75. New York/London was quoted at 493.13/16.

Fairly active. Opened Arm but subsequently eased off slightly.

Business was done shortly after the opening at 1/2 27/32 for Octo- ber. August and June. The mar- ket then eased off slightly and a small business was reported at 172 13/18 for near delivery.
