Leicester were dismissed for 144 and 164 (Larwood 5 for 65), and despite some fine bowling by Flam- Bon (7 for 48) Notts put together 179 and 130 for three wickets.

The match was played at Ches- terfield, and lasted a week, and I look back upon it as one of the most notable events of my career, for I was playing in my home town before people who had known me all my life.
