Canton, May 19. It is reported that brigandage ts rife on the borders of Hunan Pro- vince. Bands of brigands under the leadership of Kung Fing-nam,

Wang Foo-lam and Chen Chi- chung are terrorising the borders of Himan, Kwangtung and Kwang- si Provinces.

Although the peace of Kwang- tung Province has not been dis- turbed by these brigands, the mill- tary authorities of Hunan Province have sent a large body of troops to surround and exterminate them.
