Over Thousand Friends At Graveside

The funeral of Mr. David Chen See, Managing Director of the Sincere Co., Ltd., and a newly appointed Director of the Tung Wah Hospital, who died under tragic circumstances at the Kow- Icon Hospital, took place at the Chinese Protestant Cemetery yes- terday afternoon when the Rev. Yung Tang Sang officiated.

Gibraltar, May 16.

On the arrival of H.M.S. Hunter, which was badly damaged in the explosion, four of those seriously injured were rushed to the military hospital. Ten were less badly hurt following the „ Hunter's list to starboard.

Considerable damage was caused to the destroyer. The wireless aerial was carried away, the foremast was broken, there was a hole in the starboard waterline, and the bows were badly submerged. The vessel was quickly towed into dock and a naval diver went down to inspect the damage,

The first day of the Whitsuntide Race Meeting, at Happy Valley on Saturday, was featured by some excellent riding by Mr. Donald Black who scored four wins, the way in which he brought Wild Cat first past the post to beat King's Warden, the hot favourite, being his best performance of the afternoon.
