The King was wearing the scar- let and gold uniform of Field Marshal and the "Queen was a lovely Agure in a dress of ivory lace embroidered all over with Ir- ridescent paillettes and with a magnificent diamond necklace' and tiara as jewels. Their Majesties stood together and shook the hand of each guest as they were an- nounced by the Lord Chamberlain. Queen Mary, the Duke of Glou- cester, the Duke and Duchess of Kent, Princess Royal. Eari Hare- wood and other members of the Royal family were present as well as all the foreign Royal Coronation guests. A crowd estimated, at 60.- 000 assembled in the precincts of the Palace to watch the arrival of guests and none received a warmer "welcome than the Japan- ese Crown Prince and Princess Chichibu who smiled happily in response.
