Government Seek Official Record

100 CAMERAMEN ON ROUTE

The historic value of a film re- cord of the Coronation is realised: by the Government and an attempt will be made to ensure that it shall be as complete as possible, states the "Daily Tele- graph." This has been indicated by Mr. Baldwin in reply to a ques- tion in the House of Commons.

"Facilities have been provided at various positions along the route for cinema companies desir ing to make colour dims of the Coronation procession," he said.

"I understand that normally a complete aim of the whole pro- cession, would be taken, bus the cinema interests exhibit such parts of the film or films as they think will be of interest to their clients. "Inquiries are being made, how- ever, into the possibility of obtain- ing a complete flim as an omncial record of the occasion."

With over 100 cameramen sta- Loned at "the Abbey and at different vantage points on the route, it should be possible to ob- tain a remarkably complete and impressive film of the greatest intérest and importance historical document:

All that is required is an ar- rangement whereby the best parts of all the Ave news reels shall be combined in one official record, to be preserved for as long cellulold can be made to last.
