Mr. Clege-Hill came late wear- ing a youthful looking dress in pastel colours. Mrs. Walker's very dashing little hat set off a most attractive black dress while Mira. Duke also wore black with white dots covered with a graceful black coat. Miss Duke was in severe and beautifully cut navy blue and Mrs. | McAvoy chose this colour too. Mrs. Taggart, who is such a cheerful asset to any party, was in a white suit with a jaunty white hat and was talking animatedly to Wing- Commander-Dalziel who had come to help his mother entertain.

It was nice to see Mr. Lawrence Kadoorie back from Shanghal. When we reluctantly tore ourselves away at a late hour, guests were stili arriving and everyone rated it well worth braving the elements for such a cheerful and amusing party.
