The local football season was brought to an end when the replay for the Kotewall Cap between South China "A" and the Ariny was played at the Club ground. Happy Valley yesterday afternoon.
The Army won by the only goal scored by Erwin, the right wing, with a beautiful shot from a difficult angle which Pau Ka-ping misjudged.
The game was very scrappy throughout. The Chinese team pressed strongly in the first half but were unsuccessful in converting any shots which time and again were stopped by the Army custo dian, Rowlands, who was in his best form..
The Army had several chances of scoring in the first half but seemned to be over anxious and

BADMINTON
Associations Should
Support It
According to present indications 1937 should prove a bumper year for badminton in Malaya. While last year saw the visit to this country of that well-known exponent of the game Mr. J. F. Devlin, a former champion of England for several years, for ex- hibition matches, there is every likelihood of a Malayan team be- ing sent to Hong Kong to play a series of matches, writes "Rac-. quet" in the "Sunday Tribune.”
".
The matter will be brought up and discussed at the forthcoming meeting of the Badminton Asso- ciation of Malaya."
State associations all over the country have been notified of the meeting and it is expected that there will be a full attendance of representatives of all the parent bodies especially in view of the fact that many important matters are to be discussed.
