JAPAN'S MOVES

STIR CHINA

Co-operation With Britain

THREE REASONS ADDUCED

Shanghai, May 5.

The moves initiated by Japan for Anglo-Japanese co-opera- tion in China have attracted considerable attention in the Chinese press which belleves that the moves have been prompted for the following reasons:-

Firstly, with China unified, it is inexpedient to continue Japan's aggressive policy;

1.

Secondly, as a result of this unification, Chinese relations with Great Britain, Russia and America have improved and will be further cemented if Japan does not change her attitude; and

Thirdly, the Japanese people, as shown by the outcome of the elections, has lost confidence in the Government and opposed the Japanese Army's aggressive policy in China-Reuter.
