Yesterday's steadiness developed into broadening activity, through- out the market, with a further im." provement in prices generally..

Docks changed hands from 531) up to $32, a fair business being done on that basis, both cash and for- ward. Trains were in good demand up to $15, and $152 was paid for Cements, which latter were also an active forward märket. Dairles advanced to $251, Electrics to $81. Lights to $14.05 and Providents to $2.15. Lands opened dull at $35, but buyers appeared later at $354.
