Dear Sir,A great many people in Hong Kong and Kowloon would Mike to see Jessie Matthews, Sonny Hale, and Jack Hulbert in their latest ims on the screen.

I have heard of three films -in particular which are said to be just "The Cat's Whiskers." They are: "First A Girl," "Jack of All Trades," and It's Love Again." These have all been shewn at Sin-

gapore, but for some unexplained cause they go from there to India where they are side-tracked for months, before coming on to Hong

Kong.

This is such a small place that we need not keep new flims so Jong. We can all see them in the space of a few days.

Would it not be possible there- fore, for our local theatres to ar- range for them to come here be- fore, instead of after they go to India?

Yours. etc.

COLOWAN, HANDICAP This is a five furlongs sprint and of the ponies entered I favour Hohenfels, Prussian Plane, White Spirit and Merry Maker. It would appear that Hohenfels stands the best chance, with Prussian Plane Dert Merry. Maker and White Spirit are both capable of getting placed, with the odds slightly favouring the former. The other entrants, as far as I can gather, are not yet up to winning' form..
