Passenger Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours, ended at 9.00 am. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Har- high tonnage movement, 4 bour Office, showed a considerably good proportion being contributed by British ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony

with was 29.062 tons. British steamers carrying 19,095 tons. Through cargo for ports.be- yond the Colony amounted to 37,804 tons of which 14,124 tons were carried by British steamers. Asiatic deck passengers entering the Colony, during the twenty-four hours ended at 9 am. yesterday were 3,620, of which 1491 were

from British steamers,
