seritas Mr. N. L. Cape Town, SA.

Kalzina is a remark- able food containing no drugs whatsoever.

In hot countries one's diet and the extent to which

one perspires tend to decrease the mineral contents irritability,

of the body. Many complaints such as high blood pressure, dizziness, acidity, which are so often ascribed to "the climate" are due largely to this loss of minerals.

When you do not feel as well as you should, start taking Kalzana tablets. They will soon put you right.

The Army fought back, and Sergeant Mudford had the Cort- thian goal at his mercy, but, not Uking to set on his own initiative, passed and the ball went astray for a corner. Woolcock has a very safe pair of hands and got the Corinthians out of their few diff- culties. Both Mulrenan for the visitors and Private Gross for the Army had chances of scoring, but seemed unable to turn the ball sufficiently. A slight change of tactics, and by playing up the centre of the field, enabled Ed- wards to take advantage of a pass lobbed just over his head. He had to travel fast to beat both tall backs, but took the ball in his stride and scored again to give the Corinthians two goals lead at half- time. The ground cut up on the

COURT MARTIAL OF 588 B.C.

Palestine Discovery

Records of a court-martial which took place in Palestine more than 2,500 years ago have been discover- ed by Professor 1. L. Starkey, head of the Wellcome Expedition to the Near East, and deciphered by Pro- fessor E Torczyner, Lecturer in Hebrew at Jerusalem University.

They consist of potaherds found at Tel-Duwelt, half-way between Hebron and Gaza, where Professor Starkey has been excavating the fortress of Lachish, several times mentioned in the Bible. Professor Torczyner's translation of the let- ters and his comments on them are to be published in England shortly.

The letters were written to Ja'ush, who appears to have been the commandant of Lachish for- treas and of the western army, by Hoshaajahu, commandant of the smaller pisce in the neighbour- hood. They contain Hoshaajahu's defence against a number of | charges, including that of having contributed to the murder of the prophet Uriahu, related by Jere- miah.

They were found in a room on one side of the fortress tower, at first thought to be a guard room. Professora Starkey and Torezyner," however, arrived independently at the conclusion that it was used as a court, in accordance with a wide- spread Oriental custom.

"The letters," according to Pro- fessor Torczyner "would appear to be nothing less than the remains of the official files of the last mili- tary court which was in sessiori in the fortress immediately before its conquest and destruction by Nebuchadnezzar in 583 B.C...
