Considerable interest has been aroused over the movements of General Chen Chi-tang who proceeded to Europe after he was oasted from Canton when Nanking took over complete con- trol of affairs in the Province.

Press reports during the last few days stated that the erst- while leader was due in Hong Kong, and according to Reuter messages he arrived in Manila on board the Potsdam from Sin- rapore at the same time as Dr. Kung's party on the s.s. Victoria. There appears, however, to be some confusion as to whether he is on board or still in Europe. .
