Addressing a parade of the St John Ambulance Brigade held at Causeway Bay, yesterday Colonel J. L. Sleeman, Enter Coramissioner Brigade Overseas said:-I am very glad to be here with you all this morning and to inspect each and everyone of you. I am very pleased with the uniforms which are worn by the ladies division and 'the men's division as they are very at- "tructive and suit the climate of
Hong Kong very favourably. I am also very pleased to hear of the very good work which the Brigade has done in the Colony for the sick, and to those who have suffer eg from accidents. But I am sorry to see that out of 100,000 people there are only seven hundred members of the St. John's Brigade, and only hope that in time there will be a lot more "people"Joining up and helping to do this good work. I am very sorry to say that" I am unable to take all of you with me to the Coronation of His Majesty the King, and the Jublice. of the St. John Ambulance Brigade which will be held one week after the Coronation as this would cost
a large amount of money. But due to the generosity of the Chinese people of the Colony, I am able to take 6 or 7 of you with me when I return to the United Kingdom. I am very pleased to see you all present here this morning as I shall not be able to see you again until 1942 when I shall be making: my next world tour, which will take me three years to complete.
