LIGHT BRIGADE

They have travelled from New York to Hong Kong via Paris and London, where they danced at the London Palladium, and the Dor- chester Hotel when on tour with the famous Hal Kemp Band.

In an interview with a "Dally Press representative Edith and Billy stated that they adored ap- pearing on the buge Palladium stage, and found British' audiences most appreciative. They also found It thrilling to appear before all the rank and fashion of London at the Dorchester Hotel,

'Edith has some glorious dresses and allowed our representative just a glimpse of her wardrobe, which was wonderful and made one understand her statement that she wears a different dress for every darice.

The extensive wardrobe included a dream of a dress of royal blue satin with long wing sleeves lined with vivid green chartreuse, and another of parma-violet with long sleeves embroidered in beads. Yet another with a border of gleaming flowers round the hem would be an Inspiration to those looking for

new ideas for creations to wear for the Coronation festivities.

The soul-stirring. spirit Lord Tennyson's immortal poem "Charge of the Light Brigade" carries through the picture to the terriic climax-although the tragic love story of the two English brothers who love

the same Scottish girl, makes up the real substance of the story. It is at an Army post in India that the Idyll of Captain Geoffrey Vickers and Elsa Campbell begins and ends. The ill-fated lovers are unforgettably "portrayed by Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland.

BULLETS OR BALLOTS

Back in A part which "afforda him all of the opportunities for characterization- that "Little Caesar" gave him, Edward G. Rob- inson, one of of the finest actors on stage or screen is now playing the stellar role in First National's "Bullets or Ballots" at the Maiestic

In this film he plays the part of a hard-boiled detective of the two- fisted school who breaks 'up organization of racketeers. ・・

For a long time Robinson was not entirely satisfied with his screen roles. He thought he should like to play again a character re- sembling "Little Caesar. In that, the role which catapulted him to
