The love story of the "Lady of the Camellias" and Armand is, of course, primarily Garbo's and Taylor's,

·OLD HUTCH
Wallace Beery plays one of his most human roles in the new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer story, "Old Hutch." which opened last night at the Majestic Theatre.
The story will be remembered from its original appearance in "The Saturday Evening Fost." The author was Garret Smith. The narrative is an

Eric Linden and Cecilia Parker. who played with Beery in "Ah. Wilderness!", are teamed again in the romantic leads. The support- ing çast includes Robert MoWade, Caroline Perkins, Elizabeth Pat- terson, Julie Perkins, Delmar Wat- son, Harry Watson, James Burke. Donald Meek and Jean Chatburn.
WOMEN UP IN ARMS
Furious Fighting
Katowitz, March 20 Furious women staged a remark- able scene in the coal mining dis- trict to-day, throwing barricades round offices, and fighting furious- ly with police who were rushed to the area.
A hunger strike was begun by 1,500 miners in Upper Silesia to- day in order to force the mining directors to accede to their de mands regardlag, wages and hours of labour.
The demands, listed in a fifty. six-point petition, were the cause of the violent disorders when the wives of the striking miners des- cended upon the administrative officers of the mines and box- barded them with stones.
The women then erected barb- ed-wire barricades around the buildings in order to prevent the directors from leaving until their husbands' demands are granted.
HEAVY REINFORCEMENTS It was only after heavy police reinforcements had been rushed to the district, that order could be restored.
The strike In this district has been augmented by the walking out of 3,400, miners in other parts of Upper Silesia.

Brilliant And OriginalKINGS
SENSATIONAL DANCE ACT
Delighting and exciting are the two words most appropriate to describe the sheer brilliance and smoothness of the dances presented by Cedric and Arlinda in the Roof Garden of the Hong Kong Hotel on Saturday evening.
With an abundance of artistry and a superabundance of energy, Cedric and Arlinda have mastered the very rare knack of combining sensationalism with suaveness in a series of dances, the actual beauty and Intrigue of which are greatly enhanced by an originality of dressing which is both daring and lovely.
Cedric and Arlinda, pictured above, one of America's smartest dance teams, gave another very successful performance at the Hong Kong Hotel Roof Garden on Saturday night. They will be appearing at the Peninsula Hotel Rose Room on Wednes- day night at the special dinner dance In honour of the Empress of Britain round-the-world cruise.
Transforming herself into a veritable "flying angel" Arlinda portrayed a sephorous lady of charm and sorrow in a new num- ber on Saturday night when the muscular Cedric whirled the glamorous and graceful Arlinda round and round in an amazing phantasis which enthralled the, large and distinguished assem- blage in the Roof Garden,
But the real surprise of the evening was reserved for the last number in which Arlinda courageously left but little to the Imagination, and Cedric-tall, dark and handsome-was just a ballroom Tarzan wearing only a mess jacket and very tight trousers. It was a whirlwind number and no mistake that Cedric and Arlinda performed in such crazy attire to auch crazy music skillfully interpreted by that genial virtuoso, Norman Brooke and his band..
People actually stood up and cheered for an encore, which Cedric and Arlinda gave with characteristic grace.
SUPERB GOWNING
As has been remarked, not the least delightful feature of the presentations by the accomplished Cedric and Arlinda is the originality and glamorousness of the dressing. Therefore, it is all the more interesting to the mysterious personality of Arlinda to know that she designed every gown she wears.
Of course, as one of the highest paid acta which has ever toured the Far East, it is to be expected that Cedric and Arlinda would proved brilliance combined with originality-but such orl- ginality of gowning would cause comment in London or Paris, Ro in Hong Kong it is not unexpected that it has caused a sen- sation,

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS
