South China Cup Main Event
(BY "LAST QUARTER"
The main event in the programme of seven races which
Club Macao Jockey

Racing enthusiasts visiting the Portuguesa Colony will be assured of an interesting afternoon's entertainment which should prove all the more si- tractive owing to the regular publication locally of the Macao training times, thus enabling punters to follow closely the per- formances of their favourites,

The first event, the Ho Handicap over 1 Mile, is confined to subs of the Hong Kong Jockey Club that have not been placed at date of entry. Based on perfor- mances on the local course, Per- sian Cat is the obvious choice nu China Clipper should run the Lim entrant very close. as this grey was only just beaten on the post for third place by Persian Cat. third position,
Non-winning Macao subs that arrived prior to September 1, 1930 will go to the post in the Tientsin Handicap, 7 Furlonga. the Novice race of the meeting. "There are only six entries and in my opinion Coureur Bleu should be the winner.
I believe that a number of the starters in the third race will strip again in the North China Plate, consequently the previously placed have to be carefully ponies will watched. Again, such subs as The Big Trail and Prussian Plane not sent out in the. South Chins Cup may prove dangerous here. It is difficult to forecast without any
Indication as to the probable field but Leslie Henson, The Big Trail. Prussian Plane, New Market Tip and Hohenfels are all capable of doing the trick.

WOMAN'S INTUITION
CORONATION. 1937
In the year 1307, King Edward II of England ordered the Sénéchal of Gascony and the Conétable of Bordeaux to send One Thousand Hogsheads of Bordeaux Wine to England for the celebration of His Coronation.
In accordance with this tradition Hanappier, Peyrelongry & Co., are shipping a Reserve of the famous Château Calon-Ségur. Vintage 1926, 1st Growth Saint-Estèphe, and a "Cru Classé" of Médoc, which they have especially selected for the Coronation Colebrations
They are also having a Special Coronation Bottling of that splendid Vintage: 1934, to be laid down for later consumption, and which will be ready for shipment in February 1937.
Drink the health of King George VI in Wine from Gascony, that fair Province over which reigned Kings Edward, II and Edward III. Obâteau Calon-Ségur, one of the oldest Châteaux in Gascony, is well worthy of that honour.
