'The Harbour Master has issued a notice to mariners to the effect that trials will be carried out by

H.M. Vessels on the morning of Friday, March 19, 1937 to the Lee- ward of Samun Shan.

Vessels are warned not to pass closer than 1 miles especially to Leeward. A motor boat dying a red náz

will patrol in this vicinity.

The attention of junks and sam pans is especially drawn to this notice.

OBSTRUCTION TO THE S.W. OF STONECUTTERS

A Harbour Office "notification states that commencing March 39. 1957. an obstruction will be laid to the South Westward of Stonecutters Island, and will be " position for about a month.

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). 9.00 am. yesterday, the freight During the 24 Hours ended at

The total tonnage of, general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 5,293 tons with British steamers carrying 1.845 tons. Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to 26,494 tons, of which 9,801 tons were carried by British steamers: Asiatic deck passengers entering the Colony during the twenty-four hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday were 090, of which 316 from British steamers
