BOATLOAD OF GOODWILL
Australian Rotarian Mission Arrive
Bringing abundance of goodwill and gifts, the members of the first Australian Rotary Goodwill Mission to the Far East arrived in Hong Kong yesterday by the as. Taiping after an exelting voyage of which...the most outstanding feature was a cyclone which conști- tuted a gruelling and by no means unenviable experience.
The leader of the delegation, Mr. Angus. Mitchell, one of Aus tralla's leading Rotarians and a noted social, service worker said that It was hoped that as much good directly or indirectly would result, from this visit which has Japan as its pivot of action.
Mr. Angus Mitchell negatived the suggestion that the mission had a trade angle
to it. "Al- though it is n delegation in which
numbered many are
prominent business men." remarked Mr. Mit-
chell, "yet the mission has pothing whatsoever to do with trade U- commerce. It is purely a gesture which we sincerely trust will be

-To-day is the twelfth anniversary of the death of the Kuomintang Party Leader, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and the Chinese of the Party which he founded in China and throughout the world will: pay homage to a man who spent practically his whole life working for the success of the Revolu- tion, which brought about the birth of the Republic. The late Dr. Sun is styled by the Chinese, the "Father of the Republic."
The chief observance will be held to-day at 'Nanking, the Capital of the "Nationalist" Gov. ernment, where the remains of the Chinese national hero now lie in the vault in the stately mau- soleum on the slopes of the Purple Mountain.
Interesting to note that Dr. Sun Yat-sen was intimately con nected with Hong Kong, for it was here that he received part of his education as a medical student of the Hong Kong School of Medicine, graduating on July 16, 1892. Prior to this he was
