J

(a) the carrying capacity of the existing harbour pipes, or, (b) the capacity of the filtering plant an the Islands,

will Government state what is intended to be done in regard to either or both, as the case may be?

Mr. Chan Wal Ming, headmaster of the Hong Kong Folytechnię Commercial School, gave an interesting talk on the subject of "Essential things of a successful business man”... at... the meeting of the Hong Kong, English Forum held at the Chinese Young Women's Christian Association last night.

Mr. Chan said that he defined

a business man as one who was engaged in commerce and there, fore the theme of his address concerned commerce alone.

The first essential was know- ledge of the business in which he, was engaged. Having acquired his knowledge the business man ånds it necessary to keep it for himself as much as possible for, there was such a thing as a business secret.

When his secrets were known his

activities were followed.
