WATERFRONT

Freight And Asiatic Passenger Returns

(BY LONGSHOREMAN). During the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday, the freight returns, received from the Har- bour Omce, showed a considerably high tonnage movement, a large by proportion Felng made up British and Japanese ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Coliny was 20,674 tons, with British tons.

steamers carrying 2.721 Through cargo for ports be- yond the Colony amounted to 56.581 tons. of which 10.833 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering the Colony during the twenty-four hours ended at 9 am, yesterday were 1.797. of which 1,114 were from British steamers

There were altogether twenty- four arrivals, of which 7 were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 18 departures, four were
