Silver advices reported India us having operated both ways.' Speculators sold. The market closed steady. After the official Axing the market remained idle but prices were unchanged. There were zome speculative reselling coupled with Montreal selling. Buyers were 'scarce American Silver was quoted at 45 for Spot.

The London-New York rate was quoted at 487.95. New York-Landon was quoted at 4.87 91/92.
