King And Queen Move Into Palace
The King and Queen have taken up their residence at Buckingham Palace, states the "Daily Tele- graph."
The move was made without ceremony. On her retur'- from the White City the Queen had tea at 145, Piccadilly and then drove to the Palace, Crowds who cheered her departure were unaware that she was leaving her former home for the last time. *
Earlier in the day the King had driven direct ta Buckingham Palace from Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park, where he had spent the week-end with the Queen and their two daughters, Princesa Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. Their Majesties will accupy, it is understood, the suite of private apartments on the first floor for merly occupied by King George and Queen Mary.
Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret will have their own "nursery fat" on the second floor. The windows can be seen from
'Constitution Hill, and can be iden-" tiated by white painted bars placed acrosa

KING SITS TO SCULPTOR After his return to the Palace the King gave x altting to Bir Wiliam Goscombe John, RA, the well-known sculptor, for the new, Great Seal of of England á
Sir William said after the sitting. that he expected to have the work ready at the latest by the Caro nation. It will then be handed over to the Royal Mint.
Early in his reign King Edward VII. gave a similar sitting, but hits Great Seal was never struck.
"I altered the original cast on which I had prepared his features," | Sir William said, "and they are now being turned into those of King George."
Sir William designed the regalía and medal for the Investiture of the Frince of Wales in 1911, and the King's Silver Jubilee, Medal in 1935.
ANTHONY ADVERSE | DIARY OF LOCAL
Fortraits of the leading players listed, in the cast of the Warner Bros, picture "Anthony Adverse," now showing at the Majestic Theatre were sent to Hervey Allen, author of the famous novel, by Director. Mervyn LeRoy. These portraits were in character and costume as the players appear in the alm.
}
LeRoy asked the writer to check the photographs of Fredric March, Olivia de Havilland, Claude Rains, Anita Louise, Edmund Gwenn, Loula Hayward, and some thirty other principais of the story, to see how closely they tallied with his own mental picture of the charac- ters he created.

A story of simplicity and spectacle, the picture reveals Bob by Breen as a young waff born in the Southland and reared by the loyal coloured slave of his deceased parents and later taken to aristo cratic surroundings in New York, In this extremely difficult role, requiring the delineation of diverse moods which would tax a mature trouper, Bobby's work definitely establishes himself as a juvenile star of the first water,"
