Silver advices reported China as having sold. India and the American trade bought. The market. closed stendy. After the oficial fixing American traders were ati inclined to buy. In America Sliver was quoted at 44 3/4 Spot.
The London-New York crosa- rate was quoted at 488.59. New York-London was quoted at 488 31/32.
U.S. DOLLARS Nothing doing. There were sel- sels at 30 3/8 February-April and probably May and 30 5/16 June, buyers at 30 7/18 for any delivery.

The "Canton Dally Sun" reports that the Canton Mayor's sugges- tion for the floating of $7,000,000 in bonds to cover expenses for the development of the Whampoa Har- bour has been approved by the Central Government. The bonds will be issued shortly.
