AMERICAN PIG IRON FOR JAPAN
30,000 Tons To-Be Delivered In Second Half Of 1937
Bringing to
a total
of 180,000 tons the purchases of American pig iron contracted for by the Japad Iron Manufacturing Co., a new Jeal providing for the de- livery of 30,000 tons during the latter half of 1937 was concluded recently. The Japan Iron Manu- facturing Co, last nutumn signed a contract for the supply of 150,000 tons of pig iron from January to June this year at the former price of 7.150 a ton.
Japan formerly purchased only small quantities of pig Iron from the United States. obtaining her supplies mainly from Russia, India and China.
