Shanghai, February 18.

Among the resolutions due for discussion at the plenary session shortly is one submitted by General Li Tsung-jen. Pacification Commissioner of Kwangsi, 'who did not attend the session, urg- ing military action against Japan in order to check aggression before China became too weak to resist.

Several other resolutions on similar Unes have been received including one signed by Ma- dame Sun Yat-sen. This goes so far as to demand immediate war, but proposes an alliance with Soviet Russia with a view to ultimately resisting Japan. It also advocates the admission of Com- munists into the Kuomintang in order to form a united national front,

We'record, with deep regret, the death of Mr. H. K Hung, the well- known local solicitor, which eurred at his residence, No. 3, West End Terrace, last evening. The deceased, who was one of the best known and most highly respected member of the local Chinese.com- munity, was with the well-known legal firm of Messrs. Deacons.

Articled in England, the late Mr. Hung passed his final examina- tion in 1900 and was admitted to practice in England. He returned to the Colony in the same year and joined the firm with which he served, up to the time of his death

Mr. Hung is survived by a widow, two sons and four daughters while his nephew, Mr. W. C. Hung, the well-known local solicitor and sportsman, is also connected with Messrs. Deacons

The funeral takes place this evening, passing the Wing Pit Ting. Pokfulam, at 5 p.m.
