College Leaving
Mr. F.J. de Rome Proceeding On Long Leave
Amongst the many residenta leaving for Home this morning by the P. and O. us. Rawalpindi is Mr. F. J. de Rome, the popular beadmaster of Queen's College, who is proceeding to England an long leave.
Mr. de Rome, who took over the headmastership of Queen's College when Mr. A. H. Crook went away on retirement, was for many years one of the leading cricketers of the Civil Service Cricket Club and for many seasons was their open- ing batsman. He had also been figuring in Interpart cricket con- tests between Hong Kong - and Shanghai.
In an interview with the "Dally Press," Mr. de Rome said that he will be away for the usual period of nine months and while in England he will probably visit Mr. B Tanner and Mr. A. H. Crook
the both former headmasters of College.
During Mr. de Rome's absence,, the headmastership of Queen's' College will be taken over by Mr. F. Lucas Handyalde, who has been connected with the College for many years.
