After witnessing Sunday night's Charity Boxing Tournament, staged in the Po Hing Theatre, I feel sure

that the "noble art" is on the verge of a revival in Hong Kong. Boxing

shows have been far too few of

late, and great praise is due to the enterprise of the promoters of Sunday's show. Judging by the enthusiastic crowd present I at once 'cine to the conclusion that similar shows would meet with whole-hearted support from the public. who thoroughly enjoyed Sunday night's performances.

Probably the best fight of the evening was that between Bob Quinlan and Battling Rio. Despite an injured hand Quinlan 'hit very

hard: his opponent showed game ness in taking terrific punishment. Speed Salazar, disappointed, and was disqualified for continually holding.
