Generalissimo Chuang Kai-shek was detained by mutinous Chinese troops belonging to Marshal Chang Hsueh-lang, who seized Slantu, the capital of Shensi, yesterday morning. Government
leaders were horriedly summoned and conferred over this unprece- dented situation all night long.
