CHINA'S STERLING
LOANS
Owing to British efforts to re- gain trade with China and the willingness of that country to fol- low expert financial advice from London, Stock Market interest in Chinese sterling loans is growing.
The Chinese sterling loans secured on the maritime Customs have received their service all through the civil wars, an evidence of China's willingness to meet her obligations. In the case of the Falt Gabelle loans, temporary do- fault has been compensated, in- terest payments having been met at due date since 1930. Of some of the railway loans service in full has been maintained, others have made irregular payments and some made complete default.
More peaceful conditions in China are restoring investment confidence, especialy as Chinese commercial credit is so good In- vestors who wish for information on: Chinese sterling loans should ask their broker to obtain a copy of an excellent booklet prepared by a well-known firm or lobbers. which sets out the detalls of secur "ity," payments, vields at various prices, "be" The most up-to-date
