It is learned that His Holiness the Pope is indisposed and will be unable to attend the service at the Vatican in the morning.

The Pope is suffering from an attack of asthma and has de- veloped a slight temperature. It is feared that influenza max in- tervene. His condition is regarded with some anxiety in view of his weak heart.

Occupants Escape Injury

PATIENT CARRIED AT TIME

An accident, involving an ambulance of the Hong Kong Fire Brigade department, and a motor lorry occurred yesterday morning in Prince Edward Road near its intersection with Boun- dary' Street.

A remarkable feature of the mishap was the fact that al- though the Fire Brigade vehicle overturned no person was in- Jured.

The ambulance at the time was conveying a patient, stated to be a mendicant, and was on its way to the Kwong Wah Hospital, vin Prince Edward Road, Bealdes the patient, the ambulance also car- ried a driver and two attendants who were in the rear together with the patient.

According to a Police report, it appears that the lorry was travell- ing ahead of the ambulance along Prince Edward Road,

Apparently in an effort to right itself, the ambulance skidded and turned over. There was a loud crash as the vehkle hit the road. Immediately crowds gathered at the scene of the mishap.
