*BY LONGSHOREMAN). The freight returns. from the Harbour Office during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 am

The total tonnage of general. cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 9,799 tous, with British steamers carrying 7.732 tons

Through cargo "for ports be- to yond the Colony amounted 23.755 tons, of which 11.577 tons were carried by British steamers.

Asiatic deck passengers entering Into the Colony during the 24 hours ended at 9.00 a.m. yesterday were 2,207, of which 1.962 were from British steamers.

There were altogether Afteen arrivals, at which ten were of British registry, the remainder being of other nationalities, while of the 21 departures, twelve were, British ships, the rest being of other different countries. Par- ticulars as follows:-- Nationality Ships
